When a pipeline needs to be cut inside an oil refinery, when anchor cables must be severed in a methane-filled coal mine shaft, or when a damaged chemical storage tank requires emergency dismantling — conventional cutting tools are simply not an option. Angle grinders spark. Plasma cutters produce open flame. Even "cold" tools can generate static discharge. In environments where any ignition source is lethal, the cutting tool itself becomes a safety-critical decision.
This is the problem that Wonlean's pre-mixed explosion-proof portable waterjet cutter was designed to solve — and it has been solving it, with full national explosion-proof certification, for customers in China's most demanding industrial environments.
All abrasive waterjet cutting works by mixing abrasive particles into a high-pressure water stream and directing it at the workpiece. The critical engineering difference is when and where the abrasive is introduced.
In a post-mix system, water is pressurized first, then abrasive is injected at the cutting nozzle using a venturi effect. This means the abrasive particles travel through the nozzle at high velocity, creating friction and — critically — generating micro-sparks and static electricity at the cutting point.
For most industrial cutting, this is not a problem. But for cutting in flammable gas environments or on containers with residual explosive material, it is unacceptable.
In Wonlean's pre-mixed system, abrasive and water are combined inside the pump unit before pressurization. The resulting slurry is pressurized and delivered to the cutting nozzle as a homogeneous mixture. Because there is no high-velocity abrasive injection at the cutting point, there is:

Wonlean's portable pre-mixed waterjet range holds the Ex II B T4 national explosion-proof certification — China's formal standard for equipment approved for use in environments containing flammable gases.
This certification means Wonlean's machines have been independently tested and verified to produce no ignition-capable energy (sparks, heat, static) in Group II B gas environments (which includes hydrogen, ethylene, and many common industrial flammable gases) at surface temperatures not exceeding T4 (135°C).
No other portable waterjet manufacturer in China holds this certification for a pre-mixed system. Wonlean pioneered this technology domestically.
